Produced by Banger Films, 'ZZ TOP: THE LITTLE OL' BAND FROM TEXAS' tells the story of how three quirky, blues-loving teenagers – Billy Gibbons, Dusty Hill, and Frank Beard – became one of the biggest bands on the planet, while maintaining a consistently fascinating world, 50 years after their formation. The film traces ZZ TOP's journey from their beginnings in small Texas bars, their rise to fame on MTV through innovative music videos, and their skyrocketing ascent to stardom. An atypical band whose image we knew but whose story we didn’t. The film is brought to life through heartfelt interviews with the band, never-before-seen archival footage, animations, testimonies from famous fans (including Billy Bob Thornton and Joshua Homme), and an intimate concert at the legendary Gruene Hall, filmed exclusively for this documentary.
